The BWF Shuttle Time Youth Leadership Award offers a great opportunity to add to your skills and gain experience – it could be your first teaching qualification and will give you an insight into the career of badminton teachers, coaches, volunteers and technical officials.

The Shuttle Time Youth Leadership award has been designed to allow 15-18 year old school students the opportunity gain experience in sports leadership and badminton through a recognised Shuttle Time course. The award aims to provide students with the knowledge and support required to deliver fun, safe and enjoyable badminton lessons to groups of school pupils.

Course Format

The Shuttle Time Youth Leadership Award is broken down into a series of flexible and easy to deliver modules. The course is designed to be flexible – it can be delivered over a number of weeks or over 2 full days. It offers students the opportunity to experience hands on delivery of an internationally recognised badminton teaching course and to access the resources (lesson plans, teaching materials and skills videos) needed to deliver quality instruction.

Course Delivery

Teachers that have completed the 1-day Shuttle Time Teachers Course are eligible to deliver the Shuttle Time Youth Leadership Award.
